Moving storage off MoveMan.
MoveMan knows a customer has three containers. It does not know which box is in which one, and that gap is this whole page.
Container level is not item level.
MoveMan has run UK removals since 1995 and sits in the BAR portfolio. Surveys, quotes, jobs, crew app, and a storage invoicing system that tracks containers across facilities. The move itself is covered.
Storage is where it stops. No item-level inventory of stored goods, no barcode scanning, no bin locations. You have a container count. You do not have which box sits inside it, where that container stands today, who touched it last, or what condition it was in.
Most operators do not replace MoveMan. They keep it for the move and run Stortrace behind the warehouse door, so a container becomes a record with a history instead of a line on an invoice.
What transfers
- Customer records, contacts and contract terms.
- Your container list, keeping the numbers painted on the sides.
- Warehouse and facility locations, so a bay keeps the label your crew already knows.
- Storage billing history, open invoices and payment schedules.
- Your storage pricing, whether you charge per container, per item or by volume.
What changes
- Containers get scanned, and each one opens into the items it holds.
- Every collection, move and redelivery leaves an event you cannot edit after the fact.
- A part-load retrieval stops being a warehouse search, because you know which container the item is in.
- MoveMan stays where it is. Stortrace does not quote a removal, survey a house or schedule a crew.
Migration is the part you are dreading. It is the part we do.

Evaluate
You send an export and we map it against Stortrace. If your operation is better served where it is, we will say so at this stage rather than after you have paid us.

Import
We load customers, items, locations and billing history, then reconcile the totals against your existing system until the two agree.

Train
Your drivers learn one new habit, which is scanning an item instead of ticking it off. Office staff work against your real data, not a demo tenant.

Run both
You keep your old system running until a billing cycle closes cleanly in Stortrace. Nothing about the switch should require you to trust us on a Friday.
