Moving from Storeganise.
Storeganise and Stortrace are both built for valet storage. Stortrace also keeps a history of every scan, counts your empty boxes as stock, and runs moves and luggage storage.
How Storeganise and Stortrace differ
Storeganise is the only other product we know of that was built for valet storage. Its valet orders drop empty boxes, collect full ones and return stored items, and each item is catalogued with photos and a location. It also rents self-storage units, which Stortrace does not.
In Stortrace an item's location comes from its scans. Each scan is saved with the person who made it, the place and the job, and a wrong scan is corrected by adding another. If a customer says a box came back damaged, you can look up everyone who handled it since it was collected.
Empty boxes stay on your stock count while they are out. Each drop records the date the boxes are due back, so you can see how many are at customers' addresses and how many you have left to sell.
Storeganise has a customer portal and takes card payments today, and Stortrace does neither yet. Both are being built, and until they ship your team books returns for customers and invoices are paid outside Stortrace.
What transfers
- Customers, their contacts and any minimum stay they agreed to.
- Your item list, with photos and descriptions.
- Warehouse locations, keeping the bin labels your team already uses.
- Your prices, whether you charge per item, per box, by floor area or by volume.
- What each customer owes on the day you switch.
What changes
- Your warehouse scans each item as it moves, and its location comes from the latest scan.
- Drivers work each visit on their own phone and record photos, a signature or the reason a visit was skipped.
- Goods can be measured when they arrive, so an invoice can charge for the floor space or volume they take up.
- Empty boxes stay on your stock count while a customer has them.
How the migration works

You send an export and we map it against Stortrace. If you would be better off staying where you are, we tell you at this point and before you have paid anything.

We load your customers, items, locations and prices, and check the totals against your old system until they agree.

Train
Your drivers learn to scan items, and your office staff train on your own data.

Run both
Your old system keeps running until Stortrace has produced a month of invoices that match it.
