Storeganise describes its valet product as a way to catalogue and photograph each item a customer stores, so you always know what is in storage and where it sits. That is a record of the present state, and for most of what you do it is enough.
Stortrace records the movements instead of the position. Every scan writes an immutable event, so the current location is something the system derives rather than something a person keeps up to date. When a customer disputes a missing box eight months later, you replay the chain instead of trusting the last person who remembered to change a status.
Both models put your items on a screen. They differ in what they can tell you about a day nobody was watching.
