Running valet storage alongside Stora.
Stora rents and bills your units. It has no record of the boxes your vans collect, so Stortrace can run that side while your units stay on Stora.
What Stora covers
Stora's own site lists six features, which are online sales, payments, a website builder, facility management, reporting and a public API. All six are built around renting a unit to a tenant.
Stora has no list of the items in storage, no scanning, no collection or delivery scheduling and no warehouse bin locations. A valet service run next to the units has to be tracked somewhere else, which is usually a spreadsheet.
Stortrace books the collections and returns, records each box as it is scanned into a bin, and invoices from what is in storage.
Stortrace does not rent units. If units bring in most of your income, you can keep them on Stora and run valet storage here, because the two products hold different records.
What transfers
- Valet customers, their contacts and any minimum stay they agreed to.
- Your item list, from a spreadsheet or a CSV.
- Warehouse locations, keeping the labels your team already uses.
- Your valet prices, whether you charge per item, per box, by floor area or by volume.
- What each valet customer owes on the day you switch.
What changes
- Collections and returns are booked as orders, and each visit becomes a job for a driver.
- Your warehouse scans each item as it moves, and its location comes from the latest scan.
- Goods can be measured when they arrive, so an invoice can charge for the floor space or volume they take up.
- Your units, payments and website stay on Stora.
How the migration works

You send an export and we map it against Stortrace. If you would be better off staying where you are, we tell you at this point and before you have paid anything.

Import
We load your customers, items, locations and prices, and check the totals against your old system until they agree.

Train
Your drivers learn to scan items, and your office staff train on your own data.

Run both
Your old system keeps running until Stortrace has produced a month of invoices that match it.
