The sheet works, and it works because you remember what it means. That is the part nobody can cover for you.
The sheet is not wrong. It has no owner.
Most operators we speak to run a sheet, a whiteboard and something somebody built over a weekend. It fits the business exactly, which is more than any vendor on this site can claim, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
What it does not have is an owner. No tests, no history, no audit trail, and one tab whose formula one person understands. It breaks in the week that person is away and a customer is asking where their box went.
Stortrace keeps the fit and adds the record. Every scan writes an event you cannot edit later, so the answer to where something was in March comes out of the system rather than out of memory.
What transfers
- Your customer list, straight from a CSV.
- Your item and box list, with whatever descriptions you have written in it.
- Bin labels exactly as they are painted on the racking.
- Your prices, including the ones that only ever applied to two customers.
- Open invoices and what has been paid against them.
What changes
- Nobody retypes a location. A scan writes it, and the sheet stops being the source.
- Every collection, move and redelivery leaves an event you cannot edit after the fact.
- Empty boxes sitting at a customer are counted, so you know how many you have to sell next week.
- Month end becomes a check against the warehouse record rather than a rebuild of it.
Migration is the part you are dreading. It is the part we do.

Evaluate
You send an export and we map it against Stortrace. If your operation is better served where it is, we will say so at this stage rather than after you have paid us.

Import
We load customers, items, locations and billing history, then reconcile the totals against your existing system until the two agree.

Train
Your drivers learn one new habit, which is scanning an item instead of ticking it off. Office staff work against your real data, not a demo tenant.

Run both
You keep your old system running until a billing cycle closes cleanly in Stortrace. Nothing about the switch should require you to trust us on a Friday.
